We recognize there are barriers in society to equity-deserving groups. They face many collective hurdles, such as a lack of positive representation in the media, being undervalued, or having insufficient support, to name a few. We are driven to help them succeed because we have faced these barriers ourselves.  

At B4brand, we are committed to partnering with mission-driven organizations, such as Foodpreneur Lab and MOFIF, dedicated to supporting equity-deserving groups by working to remove these barriers. 

We also champion diverse founders in their journey by providing them with marketing, branding, and coaching services.

Impact and Outcomes:  

Promoting Black students’ Mental Health is a Pan-Canadian, community-based, bilingual research project funded by Public Health Agency of Canada. We partnered with York University to help promote the mental health challenges faced by Black students. The project aimed to promote mental health awareness, which is often stigmatized and not openly discussed within the Black community.

Our Impact: 

  • Raised awareness about mental health issues faced by Black students. 
  • Provided a brand identity and logo for the launch campaign. 
  • Created visual assets for digital use to support the campaign’s message. 
  • Defined student personas and created key messages for each persona. 
  • Developed a marketing plan and strategy to provide a roadmap for smooth implementation of the research project.

Impact and Outcomes:  

The “See It. Be It.” campaign, in collaboration with the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub led by TMU’s Diversity Institute, aimed to celebrate women’s entrepreneurship success stories and reshaping stereotypes about what an entrepreneur looks like.

Impact and Outcomes:  

Founded by Fatimatou Barry and her sister, Sakinatou Barry, Tchelal Foods is bringing fonio, a gluten-free, ancient African grain, to North America. The project’s main goal was to create an identifiable, eye-catching brand identity and marketing strategy for Tchelal Foods.

Our Impact: 

  • Researched and wrote the profiles of women founders to highlight their achievements and challenge traditional ideas of entrepreneurship.
  • Created a new logo and brand identity, reflecting their mission and values. 
  • Developed a comprehensive style guide to maintain brand consistency and visual identity across digital and print. 
  • Defined buyer persona profiles to better understand and target their ideal customers. 
  • Created key messages for each persona. 
  • Worked on a marketing plan and go-to-market strategy for the launch of Tchelal Foods’ products.
