We supported Futurpreneur in helping young Canadian entrepreneurs succeed.
Futurpreneur is a national, non-profit organization that, since 1996, has provided financing, mentorship, and resources to aspiring young entrepreneurs and business owners aged 18-39.
Facing common entrepreneurial hurdles.
Starting on the path to entrepreneurship can be daunting, lonely, and risky. According to a 2019 study by the Economic Analysis team at the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), three-quarters of entrepreneurs’ report facing financial insecurity, high levels of stress, and a lack of benefits compared to those in salaried positions. The elevated stress levels can increase the risk of entrepreneurs developing mental health issues, which in turn, can have an impact on their businesses. Unfortunately, the findings also revealed that one-third of new businesses fail within five years.
Helping Canadian entrepreneurs overcome their challenges.
Futurpreneur has been fostering inclusive prosperity by supporting young Canadian entrepreneurs from all backgrounds, helping them launch and grow successful businesses. They offer pre-launch coaching, financing, mentorship, and online resources. By pairing financial support with mentorship, they help entrepreneurs navigate financial struggles and connect them with someone they can feel supported by.
Tailoring programs for diverse lived experiences.
Futurpreneur launched specialized versions of their core Startup Program, known as Black Entrepreneur Startup Program and Indigenous Entrepreneur Startup Program. These programs were designed to address the unique barriers to funding and mentorship faced by aspiring Black and Indigenous entrepreneurs, offering support from an expert team with similar lived experiences.
Creating cross-platform content that connects and converts.
We worked with Futurpreneur on multiple projects for both their core program and their tailored one, Black Entrepreneur Startup Program. We enabled them to connect with their target audience across social platforms by crafting a variety of digital content to support their initiatives, including a fresh new campaign direction for the Black Entrepreneur Startup Program.
From national campaign directions for the Holiday Shopping Guide, to social media campaigns, print and digital ads, stand-up banners, business cards, and videos, we designed valuable and informative content to bring awareness to their mission.
- Graphic design for print and digital ads.
- Stand-up banners and wayfinding signage.
- Wall Display.
